  • An afternoon of desserts

A few months ago, we went to an 80′s roller skating party. It was much fun, brought back many memories for Eric and I as we taught our children how to skate. Ben picked up the quickest out of the 5 learning. Maryann and Josh soon gave up and watched from the snack tables. At the end of the night, they played some games and Ben won the limbo on roller-skates! I was amazed for his first time out there. He did have a major advantage as he was the only child out there!

…So Ben’s prize for the limbo was a gift card to one of our favorite restaurants. He decided that it would be fun to take everyone out for dessert. So on Friday afternoon, we loaded up our big van that I’ve grown quite found of and headed out for a time of sweets. This restaurant has MONSTROUS size servings, so even with our excited children, we still did not finish all the desserts placed in front of us.

  • Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was a busy day. Eric sang in the choir at church. The children and I stuck around after first service waiting for Eric and I decided to to a quick photo shoot with the children. I found a park bench and a red door that made for a great backdrop. We had a lot of fun. Michael was especially funny with the camera. After Eric finished up, we headed down to Palm Springs to spend the day with Eric’s Aunt and Uncle and cousins. We had a huge delicious dinner and then the Easter Egg Hunt that my children wait all year for. Why? Because Eric’s Aunt and Uncle stiff some of the eggs with money. This makes the children extremely excited to participate! It’s fun to watch them find these eggs. We finished up the day with some board games.

  • Laguna Beach

First I have to say sorry for not blogging for the last month. We have been out exploring where to move and finishing up the last things that need to be done to move in 6 weeks. So there are many things that I want to blog on over the next few days/weeks that will be a little old, but I’m determined to blog so here it goes…

We went to the beach a few weeks ago with some friends. I love the beach. I’m not really sure why. I was looking at the pictures that I had taken and I think a big part of my love is the awesomeness (is that a word?) of God that I see when I am there. I look out over the vast ocean that doesn’t seem to end, watch and listen to the waves roaring and lapping at my feet, and then there’s always the sunset. I love to watch the sunset. It’s magnificence takes my breath away. To think how God created all that we see and touch to such a perfection that even the smartest scientist can’t even began to figure out. We have been studying the solar system this past week in school and so I am freshly reminded of how great our God is.

I love to see our Flag waving in the bright blue sky. Maybe it’s because I grew up next to a military base, but I love my country and am proud to be an American!!

This shot was fun to get. My friend grabbed my camera and took a bunch of pics of our family playing in the sand. I wanted a pic of the waves splashing on my toes. She got it and I got a little soaked in the process. Thanks Michelle for the great pics!!
